About the authorVanessa King is a board member of Action for Happiness and one of the UK's leading experts on positive psychology. In this groundbreaking new book she draws on the latest scientific research to lay out Ten Keys that really make a difference to our happiness, sharing ideas for practical actions and how to apply them in our daily lives - at home, at work and in the world around us.
After taking a degree in psychology, Vanessa completed her Master's degree in Applied Positive Psychology under Martin Seligman at the University of Pennsylvania. She led the development of the Ten Keys for Action for Happiness and regularly advises organisations and speaks at conferences, events and workshops all over the world.
She has written for the Guardian, been featured in the Sunday Telegraph magazine and supports Psychologies magazine as their Happiness Clubs expert. She's a two time TEDx speaker and has spoken at conferences on happiness and positive psychology in Australia, Bulgaria, Chile, China, the Netherlands, Romania, Turkey, UK and USA as well as festivals including the South Bank Summer of Love, Innocent Unplugged and Wilderness.
