This calendar follows on from our Kindness Calendar which was downloaded and used by nearly 2 million people in December 2017. Since then our monthly calendars have included Happy January, Friendly February, Mindful March, Active April, Meaningful May, Joyful June and Jump Back July. You can find the full set of calendars to date here.

New Happiness book for children based on the Ten Keys to Happier Living, packed with fun activities to learn and try out.
Pupils at John Stainer School re-branded Anti-Bullying Week as "It's Cool To Be Kind Week" and have been spreading kindness at school and in their local community. Read more
Giving is good for you
Altruistic behaviour releases endorphins in the brain and boosts happiness for us as well as the people we help. Studies have shown that giving money away tends to make people happier than spending it on themselves.
Happiness is good for your heart
Harvard School of Public Health examined 200 separate research studies on psychological wellbeing and cardiovascular health.
Optimism and positive emotion were found to provide protection against cardiovascular disease, to slow progression of heart disease and reduce risk, by around 50%, of experiencing a cardiovascular event, such as a heart attack.
